Application: This box is perfect for storage of prints, photos, art and similar mounted or unmounted documents that are best stored flat. This style of box is also well-suited for musical scores, pamphlets, letters and newspapers. Features: Our metal-edged drop-front boxes consist of a removable top and a bottom with a hinged ''drop front'' panel at the long side. This feature ''opens'' the bottom section so contents can be inserted, removed or examined safely, without bending or flexing the contents in any way. The risk of dog-earing is minimized. Our boxes are manufactured from heavyweight ArchivalGrade™ boxboard. Metal edge clamps are corrosion treated in black polyester coating with a wax-free polyester finish on the blind side. These clamps provide rigidity and high stacking strength. In addition, ONLY Archival Methods Metal Edged boxes incorporate all these enhancements: NEW: Embossed labeling areas on end and side of top cover to neatly, accurately and consistently position a standard pressure-sensitive (PSA) identification label. NEW: Large radius, rounded ''soft corners'' on the drop-front for added safety in handling delicate or fragile ephemera NEW: Top cover edges have scalloped finger grips at the long dimension to facilitate opening these close-fitted boxes without prying.
